We don’t normally see contestants go on to defeat the Chaser on their own.
But after Ali’s “incredible” performance she managed to beat Chaser Mark Labbett and walk away with £5,000.
With an impressive 19 steps and with the help of three pushbacks The Beast was left stunned at her quizzing techniques.

Following her win The Beast congratulated the quizzer and even offered her hug.
Viewers branded Ali “brilliant” for her performance and also gave their congrats on Twitter.
One wrote: “Best chase ever – well done Ali! #TheChase.”
“YES ALI! What a match! Her face when she won was priceless #TheChase,” another said.
A third added: “Well deserved! #thechase.”
“I actually clapped when Ali won, brilliant #TheChase,” another tweeted.

Meanwhile on The Chase after a contestant was given £1000 for giving the wrong answer.
Host Bradley Walsh asked player Mo: “What was the occupation of Matt Damon’s character in The Martain?”
To which Mo chose astronaut as his answer which viewers soon accused it of being the wrong answer.
One wrote on Twitter: “Mark Whatney in the Martian was actually a botanist #TheChase.”
Another said: “Technically Matt Damons “TheMartian” character was a Botanist not an astronaut. #TheChase.”
