Take That star brands X Factor “s***e”

Singer encourages parents to make their kids watch nature shows instead!

Howard Donald sparked a social media frenzy last night when he made a snipey comment about The X Factor – which just so happened to feature an appearance from his old bandmate, Robbie Williams.

And fans were worried that his naughty comments could have caused a rift between him and the Robster.

The lispy Take That star posted an incendiary Tweet after 8pm on Sunday evening, just moments after his other bandmate Gary Barlow had performed on Strictly and mere minutes before Robbie performed a song from his new chart-topping album The Heavy Entertainment Show on ITV.

In the message, Howard expressed his desire for parents to encourage their kids to watch more educational shows, like David Attenborough’s current series, Planet Earth 2 instead of “the s***e” on the other channel.

“Try learning something and watch #planetearth2 instead of the s***e on itv,” he wrote, adding, “Record and play to your kids, they will be transfixed! #awesome.”

When his shocked fans Tweeted to remind him that his pal Robbie was actually performing on that particular “s***e”, Howard, who has previously graced the X Factor stage many times with Take That, was fast to assure them that he wasn’t slating him his old mate in the slightest, tweeting:

“I know! And that’s the only reason I’m recording it so I can forward through the poo.”

Robbie, who appears totally naked on the cover of the new issue of Attitude, performed his new single Love My Life which he says is about living with his two kids Charlton and Teddy!

Meanwhile, over on the BBC, Gary Barlow, who showed off a thinner frame, sang the bouncy number Dare, s song from the musical version of Calendar Girls that he’s written.
