Stacey Solomon cracks head as Loose Women pal tries to pick her up

You won't believe the reason why

Stacey Solomon could easily have ended up in A&E after today’s Loose Women – when she was dropped on her HEAD on the studio floor!

The Essex girl made quite the entrance on today’s lunchtime show, as she was carried on upside down over the shoulders of fellow panellist Jane Moore.

The pair were doing the stunt to recreate scenes from the annual wife-carrying competition which took place in Surrey over the weekend.

But Jane is obviously not quite as practiced as the couples who took part in the bizarre obstacle course race – and accidentally dropped Stacey right on her head onto the floor of the studio!

While the cameras didn’t capture the fall, viewers could hear the shocked audience gasp and then fortunately laugh, along with the other Loose Women Coleen Nolan and Ruth Langsford.

As cameras cut back to the pair, Jane and Stacey could be seen getting unsteadily and clumsily to their feet, while Ruth looked relieved to realise they were laughing and fine. Not the most glamorous of entrances!

“We practised getting into the position but not getting out,” explained Jane. And Stacey added “I had a head rush and it was only five seconds. What you didn’t see was me crack my head on the floor!”

But it turns out that being carried is something former X Factor star Stacey is usually in favour of. As the women went on to chat about the wife-carrying competition, she revealed she likes it when her TV presenter boyfriend Joe Swash gets physical.

“I like being carried around,” she said. “I’m quite a lazy lady so when I can’t be bothered to put my shoes on, I ask Joe to carry me to the car.

“Or sometimes I’ll say ‘Oh it’s so late, do you want to carry me up the stairs?’

“Sometimes he does, but other times he picks me up and then throws me back down!”

Although probably more elegantly than she and Jane managed…
