Spice Girls at war!!!

Looks like that Spice reunion will NEVER happen now.

In the year we were hoping to see the Spice Girls reunite to mark their 20th anniversary, war has suddenly broken out among the girls.

Well, two of them at least.

According to reports, Mel B is furious with Victoria Beckham after she decided to embrace her Spice past by singing some of their hits in an episode of on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.

No harm done, right? She and the girls still get royalties if their songs are used on the show.

But what has got Mel’s leopard print knick-knocks in a twist is that it was supposedly Victoria Beckham who nixed the planned reunion and had said she didnn’t the girls to sign their old songs.

Back in October, Vic said that while she was happy for the girls to return as a four piece, they should do so with new material.

Asked if she wished the girls luck “Of course, as a new group, I do.

“I do think they should sing their own material though, because what we did in the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs I think I might be a bit sad.”

There was even a rumour that Victoria would actually seek legal action to prevent the rest of the band from singing their classics on tour, as she still owns writing credits to hits including 2 Become 1 and Spice Up Your Life.

And it’s the latter of the two songs that is also causing Mel B a lot of grief.

You see, the classic chart topper is currently being used in Posh’s campaign for her first ever high street clothing range for US supermarket chain Target. And Mel isn’t happy.

“Mel is livid Victoria is all of a sudden embracing her Spice Girls past after years of trying to distance herself from the band,” a source snitched to the Sun.

“She was desperate for the girls to go on a very lucrative reunion tour to celebrate their music with millions of fans.

“But once Posh pulled out, the idea began to crumble leaving the members of the band keen to perform having no choice but to ditch it.

“Mel feels it’s unfair Victoria is now using their music to boost her own profile.”

And Mel wasn’t happy when Victoria wasn’t exactly thrilled when she announced on Wednesday that she would be following in the footsteps of J. Lo Adele, Michelle Obama and juno into the car with Carpool Karaoke.

“Fans will love the fact that Posh is going back to her Spice roots,” a source told the Sun.

“It proves why the band really did mean so much to her and why she’s in the position she’s in today.”

Of course it wasn’t just Posh who let fans down.

Shortly after she pulled out of any planned reunions, Mel C followed suit, leaving Emma Bunton Mel B and Geri Horner to go it alone.

For a short time the girls called themselves GEM and a song they’d recorded got leaked.

But then when Geri fell pregnant, all reunion plans were off and fans across the world were left heartbroken.

And then Steps stole their thunder with they amazing Scared Of The Dark.
