Simon Cowell hints at paying for BGT star’s life-saving surgery

Julia Carlile has a painful condition called scoliosis

Simon Cowell hinted at paying for Julia Carlile’s operation even if her dance act doesn’t win.

The 15-year-old suffers from scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, but loves to dance. She told the Britain’s Got Talent judges during her first audition that this is her last chance to dance, as she needs a life-saving operation in America.

Her surgery is £78,000 but Simon may be able to help.

The producer and entrepreneur, who is worth a whopping £345m, has made a sweet statement to Julia.

After their performance in last night’s semi-final, he said: “Whatever happens, we’ll make sure you’re in a great place.”

He added: “I don’t want to get too emotional, but, out of all the acts tonight, you and the Pensionalities are the ones who got me.

“You’re both uplifting and doing something positive.”

Simon has a heart!

We hope that he really does help Julia out as her performance with her dance troupe stunned everybody.

Julia had previously said that it would mean winning the £250,000 prize for her to go ahead with the once-in-a-lifetime treatment that would see her being able to dance again.

The teenager has also said that her performances on the show are the first time that she’s had her back on display.

“I always used to cover up my back to make sure no one could see it and in rehearsals I didn’t really want to take my T-shirt off”, she told The Mirror.

“But then I got on stage and just did it. I realised I shouldn’t care what people think. This experience has changed me as a person, I feel better in myself.

“Now it doesn’t even cross my mind that people might be judging me. I don’t care anymore and don’t want to hide away. It’s the best decision I’ve made.”
