Sherrie Hewson has spent the past 16 years single and now she has revealed her reason why.
The former Coronation Street star opened up in a candid interview with Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid.
She was discussing her confident character Joyce in the hit TV show, and admitted they were alike in their attitudes to relationships.

Talking about how her character’s independence, she speculated about Joyce’s lack of luck with the opposite sex.
“She’s very bossy, she can turn men away because of her bossiness, because she has been on her own for so long,” Sherrie explained.
“It’s too hard and Joyce doesn’t want to let anyone in.”
Susanna asked: “Is that how you feel?”
“Yes, that’s how I feel – I wouldn’t have anyone in my toilet! And then you’ve got all that taking your clothes off,” she replied.
“I have been on my own for so long, how do you let someone else in your house? And still keep the light on?
“You can’t take your clothes off at this age!”

Susanna and co-host Kate Garraway said that she has a stunning figure and has nothing to worry about about.
Yet the former Loose Women panellist insisted: “When you have been on your own for so long you don’t know how to.
“I would love to have someone’s arms around me for a kiss and cuddle.
“But a dog is the best way.”

Jokingly Susanna then said: “Don’t worry, I will give you a kiss and cuddle after.”
They then agreed that they’d all go on a girls’ holiday to Benidorm. Love it!
