Viewers in shock as Holly Willoughby appears to say the F-word on This Morning

Apparent tongue-slip after Phillip fluffs his lines

There we were, happily sipping our cup of tea as we watched today’s episode of This Morning, feeling a little bleary eyed after staying up late writing the latest celebrity gossip for Entertainment Daily.

That’s when we heard it – Holly Willoughby blurting out the F-word. Or at least it sounded like it.

The blonde presenter, 36, was in stitches after her co-host Phillip Schofield, 55, messed up his lines, and seemed to say: “I can’t believe you [expletive] did that on air!”

Cue a mouthful of tea being spat over our keyboard – and evidently we weren’t the only ones to have heard it.

Shortly after it happened, one viewer wrote on Twitter: “Did Holly just say I can’t believe you f**king done that…?”

And another observant fan chipped in with: “@hollywills dropping an f bomb on daytime tv #thismorning”.

But others weren’t convinced that the Brighton-born host had turned the air blue. One person tweeted that she had actually said: “‘I can’t believe you finally did that on air’ not the f bomb people, calm down dear!”

Ah well – you can hardly blame Phillip for his cock-up, or Holly for her tongue slip (if indeed there was one).

The two presenters normally get Fridays off, and only appeared on today’s show because they’re about to take six weeks off for the school holidays.

Holly and her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin have two sons, Harry and Chester, plus a daughter, Belle.

Last year, the Celebrity Juice star said that she was keen to add a fourth child to the brood.

As for Phillip, he and his wife Stephanie Lowe, a BBC production assistant, have two daughters – Holly and Ruby.

Another segment of today’s This Morning saw the two presenters interview the owners of Britain’s first ever guide ponies.

And Holly was in fits of laughter again as one of the animals started to poo on the carpet.

It sounds like she’ll miss the show as much as we’ll miss her.
