Sarah Beeny’s new show slated by viewers for being “misleading”

How to Live Mortgage Free aired for the first time last night

Sarah Beeny’s brand new show How to Live Mortgage Free aired on Wednesday night.

The Channel 4 show sees host Sarah showing fans how you can own property and avoid paying a mortgage.

But it seems viewers weren’t keen on her tips and slated the show for being “misleading”.

Property expert Sarah began the show revealing she was going to give viewers simple and smart methods of living mortgage-free.

The first episode saw Annie who took out a mortgage and bought her first property outright, which was a brownfield site worth £25,000.

Viewers saw the 27-year-old build her own house from scratch and it’s now worth a whopping £250,000.

But those watching at home weren’t all that impressed and went on Twitter to slam the show for only showing examples of “wealthy home-buyers”.

One wrote on Twitter: “So far it seems that Sarah Beeney’s secret to how to live mortgage free is to have a big chunk of cash.”

“So one of Channel 4’s tips on how to live mortgage free is to buy your property outright with cash. I’ll get right on that, thanks,” said another.

A third tweeted: “Misleading program of the year goes to @sarahbeeny.”

“How to live mortgage free, don’t take out a mortgage,” added another.

Another viewer wrote: “How To Live Mortgage Free with Sarah Beeny – all very good if you’ve got £70,000 put aside.”
