Reunited! Hollyoaks photo shoot reveals original cast back together again

They haven't aged a bit

Hollyoaks’ returning favourites Gary Lucy and Sarah Jayne Dunn have reunited with their old castmates for a glossy photoshoot to celebrate the soap’s sizzling summer storylines.

The iconic duo – who play Luke Morgan and Mandy Richardson – donned their finest evening wear for the Friends-style photoshoot alongside co-stars Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson), Stephanie Waring (Cindy Cunningham), Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osborne) and Jessica Fox (Nancy Osborne).

The glam picture, reminiscent of a promotional picture for TV comedy Friends, shows the six soap stars linking arms as they walk through Chester looking very glam in their tuxedos and slinky ball gowns.

It was posted to Instagram with the simple caption: “Hollyoaks reunited!”

The Channel 4 soap announced in June that classic characters Luke and Mandy would be returning to shake things up, after a lengthy absence from screens.

Sarah teased: “Mandy will come back with a big secret and come to reignite her relationship with the Cunninghams.

“They’ll be shocked to learn some new things about her. It’s so nice to be back, I’m really, really thrilled.”

She added to Radio Times: “Mandy is not quite as you remember her is all I can really say. I’m struggling to talk about it without giving anything away! You’ll just have to wait and see..”

The blonde beauty last appeared on Hollyoaks in 2011 and popped up briefly on spinoff show Hollyoaks Later two years later.

Gary starred as heartthrob Luke on the soap until 2001 and briefly appeared for two episodes in 2002.

“It’s the same Luke that returns, he’s still got a nice heart, but he’s also got a few issues,” said Gary.

“He’s struggling financially and Darren really helps him out by offering him a job. Hopefully the viewers will be rooting for him to sort himself out – he’s a bit of a mess.”
