Yep you read that right Piers Morgan has been PRAISED by Good Morning Britain viewers, something we don’t normally see, following his “brilliant” interview with Professor Stephen Hawking.

As the pair sat down and started the interview Piers confessed he had waited three decades to meet Stephen.

The professor jokingly replied: “Get on with it.”

He opened up about being offered a seat on Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.

He revealed: “I can tell you what will make me happy, to travel in space.

“I thought no one would take me but Richard Branson has offered me a seat on Virgin Galactic and I said yes immediately.”

Reflecting back on his interview with the physicist Piers told co-host Susanna Reid: “It’s something that’s been on my bucket list.

“He’s an incredible man. You have to give him the questions a month in advance so he has the time to process the answers – it takes him hours.”

The ever so modest star revealed: “It is getting a bit of a bashing.

“They’re trying to be a bit American for me. I want to see who works. But I’d be brilliant.”

If you say so, Piers…
