Piers Morgan finds his inner feminist on International Women’s Day

The GMB host was appalled by controversial MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikke

Piers Morgan stunned viewers on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain when he STOOD UP for women by confronting sexist MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikke.

Even though the chat started off polite, Piers soon lost his temper after Janusz said women were less intelligent.

To mark International Women’s Day Piers and co-host Susanna Reid decided to question Janusz on his outrageous views.

The Polish MEP had previously stated: “Of course women must earn less than men because they are weaker, they are smaller, they are less intelligent.

“They must earn less. That’s all.”

But when questioned by Piers he attempted to defend himself by saying: “I only said that because they are shorter.

“They are weaker and less intelligent. They are less aggressive, they earn less”

A visibly angry Piers bit back calling him “horrendous” and “sexist” as presenter Susanna looked on in shock.

The 51-year-old added: “Let me ask you, if women are less intelligent…”

But before Piers could finish his sentence, Janusz was answering back leading Piers to raise his voice and tell the MEP to be quiet several times.

As the interview became even more intense, Piers said: “How can you say that women are less intelligent than men when you yourself sound so unbelievably stupid?”

When co-presenter Susanna attempted to speak over the politician, Piers backed her up, telling him to shut up.

Blimey, it’s not often these two are united!

Susanna branded the MEP’s views as “utter nonsense” and told him he couldn’t possibly condone a gender pay gap on the basis of someone’s height.

But Piers exploded after Korwin-Mikke accused the pair of still believing in stereotypes.

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge raged: “We believe in stereotypes!

“Is that a joke? You’ve got some front.

“You’ve married three times, have eight children by four different women … You’re an incredibly stupid man.”

After the hosts wrapped up the brutal chat, Susanna said: “That’s one of the most interesting interviews I’ve ever witnessed.”

Viewers were stunned by the outrageous segment and praised Piers, which doesn’t normally happen, for making a stance.

One wrote: “@GMB it was nice to see @piersmorgan stand up for women! Thank you.”

Another added: “@piersmorgan @GMB I am completely appalled at what I’ve just watched.”

While a third said: “@GMB @piersmorgan I’ve never loved you more than at this moment! #sexist #offensive why on earth would you give a man like this air time?”
