Let it go! Dannii Minogue makes ANOTHER sly dig at ex Simon Cowell

She's still bitter about The (E)X Factor then...

Former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue doesn’t have to deal with any big egos on the set of Let It Shine.

Dannii won legions of fans when she appeared as a talent show judge on ITV’s The X Factor in 2010, but has now jumped channels for Gary Barlow’s Let It Shine on the BBC.

Dannii and Gary are joined by Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp on the judging panel, with the fourth mentor spot filled by guest judges like Amber Riley, Lulu and Ashley Roberts.

“(My colleagues are) cool and easy. No egos, just chilled,” she smiled to the Metro.

Unlike other singing contests searching for a popstar, the aim of the show is to find a group of male singers to appear in a stage musical about a boyband, based around Take That’s hits.

During her four seasons on The X Factor, Dannii hit headlines for her clashes with fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. She even burst into tears live on air once after an on-air row with Irish music manager Louis.

“Everyone here just wants it to be a positive experience. Not just the judges but for everyone,” she added of Let It Shine.

In a further dig to previous X Factor contestants, Dannii also slammed some of their attitudes when it came to learning new music on a weekly basis.

“I had a big live show every week and a new routine every week,” she said of her time on Australian show Young Talent Time.

“So on shows like X Factor when they go, ‘I have to learn a new song next week! It’s like, ‘Yeah! I’ve done it. If this is what you want to do…’”

Chat show icon Ricki Lake joined the Let It Shine panel on tonight for the first of the live shows, where the remaining boys will compete in a battle of the bands.
