Michelle Collins hints at possible Coronation Street return as Stella Price

It might be a good time for her to turn up

She might have categorically ruled herself out of a return to EastEnders, but Michelle Collins has now dropped a massive hint she could be going back to Coronation Street.

Michelle played Stella Price, the long lost mother of Leanne Battersby, in the soap from 2011 to 2014. After an eventful time, she left to not much fan fare, and hasn’t really been talked about since.

In a recent interview with Soaplife however, she admitted she could see herself returning to the cobbles.

“Maybe. I mean Stella hasn’t been killed off and her daughters, Eva Price and Leanne Battersby are both still there.

“It would be interesting to see her back in the Street as she’s supposed to have been living in New York.”

Hmm, The Big Apple or Weatherfield? We know which we’d prefer!

But it would be good timing as Leanne could do with her mum right now.

With a new baby to care for, that she had with her friend’s husband, Steve McDonald, Steve at loggerheads with Lee’s fiancé Nick Tilsley, and a hurt Michelle Connor out for revenge, someone fighting Leanne’s corner could be just what she needs.

Rumours had previously refused to die that Michelle would in fact be returning to EastEnders to play Cindy Beale again.

But in a recent interview with The Sun Online, Michelle put the nail in the coffin of that idea, firmly stating she wouldn’t be going back.

“I don’t know whether people would buy it though,” she insisted.

“She is dead. I’ve always dismissed it because she’s been dead so in a way they sort of did me a favour because I can never really go back.”

She added: “I think I’d spoil it if I go back.”
