He’s one of Emmerdale’s most popular characters so the loss of Danny Miller from the show would certainly be a huge one.
But after The Sun reported he had signed a huge new contract to stick around, Danny responded saying it was the first he’d heard of it – and then deleted his tweet.
So what is going on?
A family friend reportedly told the paper last week: “Danny is thrilled to be staying at Emmerdale after an amazing year there with really tough storylines to play out.”
They went on to add: “There were some serious conversations between all parties and the word is that the offer of a hefty pay rise convinced him to stay.”
Miller took to Twitter after reading the report and said: “Haha ohhhh I do love ‘close sources’ – wish they’d told me about the new contract”.
Danny then went on to delete the Tweet, leaving viewers non-the-wiser as to whether he’s staying or going.

With all the drama that’s been promised for Emmerdale’s best-loved couple, we think it’s more than likely that he’s sticking around – especially given he’s set to tie the knot with Robert Sugden for real.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk recently, he said: “To do it officially would be great… but I’m not the boss so whatever happens happens.
“Myself and Ryan, we just love scripts that writers and storyliners keep writing for Aaron and Robert.
“We’re just happy to be given the work.
“I think it goes without saying we are very much fans of the comedy and the lighter scenes, but we appreciate there are scenes the public adore – which is the dramatic stuff.”
Well, Danny and we fans are in luck, as show runner Iain Macleod has confirmed there will be another attempt at nuptials.
He said: “At some point there will be a second wedding, we’ve not storylined it yet.
“But we deliberately didn’t make their first wedding official because only an idiot would rule out the possibility of there being two Robron weddings.
“Despite what some people may feel on Twitter, I’m not an idiot, so we’ll definitely be getting an official church/register office/Vegas romantic wedding that will hopefully be heart-warming, joyous and everything everyone wants it to be.”
In the meantime, there’s plenty of other action going on for the boys, who become part of a huge revenge plot next week.
