I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! accused of trial FIX

Viewers furious following yellow team win

| Updated:

The campers are now officially divided and it’s all gone very survival-of-the-fittest on I’m a Celebrity!

On Friday night’s show, the yellow team proved themselves to be the clear winners, smashing the Hungry Games AND the Live Bushtucker Trials.

The team included newcomer, broadcaster Danny Baker, who previously joked that his compromised taste buds would put him at something of an advantage.

But the rest of his team mates, who didn’t quite have that luck, still pulled off an impressive 6-0 win in the live trial, which saw them take on six grisly challenges to win stars. With their mouths.

They were so successful, that viewers started to get just a little bit suspicious…

For some, it’s even threatened to put them off the show completely!

Could last night’s events spell disquiet among the campers too?

Winning every one of the six tasks, the yellow team earned themselves a luxury spa day in the jungle, while the losing blues were condemned to time in the “rancid retreat”.

It was another victory for the yellows, who had already won a meal of emu rump in the show’s Hungry Games, marking the first time the campers had been forced to eat separate meals.

Diversity star Jordan Banjo was first to beat actor Larry Lamb as they both bobbed for stars in tanks of slime and critters.

Former Strictly dancer Ola Jordan beat Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt to the bottom of a cup of blended fish guts, then retired footballer Wayne Bridge swallowed a bowl full of dead bugs before comedian Joel Dommett.

Actor Adam Thomas managed to move a bowl of offal with his mouth before athlete Sam Quek and presenter Carol Vorderman scraped another win for the yellows as she slurped through three glasses of blended pigs’ eyeballs, pigs’ brains and pigs’ anuses seconds before model Lisa Snowdon.

Newcomers broadcaster Danny Baker and Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts were the last to take on their first Bushtucker Trial, with Baker retrieving his star from a box of pythons before Roberts.

Danny and Martin’s entry to the jungle sparked a mixed reaction from the campers, who have already been on the show together for almost a week.

Danny, 59, moved Scarlett to tears as he told her about his battle with cancer.

Meanwhile, some of Danny’s team mates expressed concern that he was “not as positive” as they were, when he struggled to stomach a paltry meal of rice and beans.

The unfortunate blues will now be subjected to the “rancid retreat” which will see them take a dip in a pool bubbling with critters.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9.25pm on ITV.
