Gogglebox star accused of body shaming Scarlett Moffatt on social media

If you have to delete don't Tweet

A lesson for all celebs…

If you think a Tweet is going to get you in trouble, then don’t send it in the first place.

Otherwise you will just end up with egg on your face.

This is a lesson that Gogglebox star Sandra Martin needs to learn FAST!

The telly couch potato caused controversy when she posted a comment about her ex co-star Scarlett Moffatt, seemingly poking fun at her weight.

In her post she wrote: “Watching Scarlett Moffatt on ch4 + 1.”

“She looks different… put on some weight.”

If that wasn’t bad enough she then added: “But it semi suits her.”

So it kind of looks good but kind of doesn’t? Either way, NOT complimentary, San.

But then Sandra, who is no stick thin model herself, really stuck the knife in by saying: “Had 2 look on line. Thought she was pregy.”

The comments went down like a cowpat sandwich and fans advised Sandra it was best to think twice about making comments as insensitive as that.

“You have to be so careful what you say on Twitter, Sandra,” one wrote, while  another urged: “Oh yeah Sandz delete the tweet. It’ll only make you look bad.”

Seeing sense, the roly-poly telly watcher deleted her comment but not before some news outlets had screen grabbed it and went to town on them.

Instead of being humble and apologetic Sandra actually re-tweeted one of the articles that had pointed out her Twitter outburst and hit back.

“I only said wat other people said,” she wrote, adding arrogantly, “But becos am a celeb/famous…I took the brunt of the stick.

“Sorry 2 all who never got caught. #queenie bee.”
