Gogglebox favourites sensationally QUIT the show

Are they heading for a chat show deal?

One of the most popular couples on Channel 4’s Gogglebox have decided to call it a day.

They said that it was time to leave the show, announcing: “You can have too much of a good thing.”

Hilarious upper-class pairing Steph and Dom have sensationally quit the show, confirming why they have been absent from the new series so far.

Speaking to The Sun Online, the couple said that they had “pretty much said all we needed to say”.

This is a shame, as viewers loved to hear what they would come out with, as they sat with wine glass in hand.

They revealed: “We think it’s important that everyone gets their chance to be on Gogglebox and give their opinion, and having been on it from the beginning we felt like we’d pretty much said all we needed to say, and we knew what we were going say.”

Steph added: “We’ve decided to take a break from it.”

They were very non-committal about whether the ‘break’ will be a more permanent departure.

Steph continued: “You can have too much of a good thing, so you can’t overdo it, we just felt it was time.

“We’ve got other projects and not a lot of time.

“We’re very busy and filming at the hotel was pretty tough.”

She added: “I’m so touched that people have been missing us, because I think there are some incredibly funny characters on there so the fact we’re missed is quite a big deal for us.

“We do still watch it and we enjoy the new characters, it’s still making us belly laugh which is great.”

What next though for the outspoken duo? There is certainly a clamouring for them to host a chat show.

Dom said to not rule out this possibility: “Who knows, who thought we’d be doing any of this in the first place?

“You can never guess what’s around the corner, so who knows…

“Everything is very topsy turvy in the TV land, but we’d absolutely be delighted.”

It would be a great way to get our fix of the Gogglebox duo, if they are no longer inviting us to watch them watching television.
