Gobby Bake Off star brands The X Factor “racist”

GBBO star is off on one again!

The hair’s come off and now one time Great British Bake Off winner Ruby Tandoh has launched a vicious attack on the X Factor.

The mouthy baker, who recently savagely attacked Paul Hollywood for not quitting Bake Off after it switched from the BBC to Channel 4 like his co-hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins and Mary Berry, has now turned on X Factor viewers for voting out Gifty Louis on Sunday night, branding them racist.

“X Factor channels the purest essence of racism, and Gifty getting sent home is absolutely typical of this,” Rubes raged on Twitter.

“‘It’s the public who are racist! they vote!’ yeah true the public is racist in the extreme, but the show’s producers are fully culpable too. POC [people of colour] don’t get the same fleshed-out, humanising, emotional back stories that the others get. not in the slightest.”

When some Twitter followers took exception to Ruby’s incendiary comment, she sneered: “POC get far less screen time throughout auditions. a small handful of white contestants are pretty much groomed to win from the beginning.

“The judges have the opportunity to save contestants after the public vote, but they NEVER use that opp to mitigate the racism of the vote. In fact, the judges preempt, validate and bolster that racism.”

The cake maker and professional then turned on viewer favourite, Honey G, branding her “offensive” and “appropriative”.
