GMB voters call for Piers Morgan to be put in charge…

This comes after the results of the General Election

Good Morning Britain viewers have called for host Piers Morgan to be put in charge of Britain’s Brexit deal following the results of the General Election.

The controversial presenter has been praised for launching into a rant during today’s show.

Piers, 52, claimed the hung parliament could harm the UK’s Brexit plans – and now fans are calling for him to take charge.

Starting his rant Piers said: “The EU are thinking… Britain is incredibly weak and we can screw them.”

And now the ITV show’s viewers are praising the presenter and calling for him to take charge.

One wrote on Twitter: “Piers is killing it this morning! Good on him #GMB @piersmorgan.”

“Piers Morgan is brilliant. This is the best election show I have ever watched #GMB #Election2017,” another said.

Another added: “Piers Morgan for prime minister! #GMB @piersmorgan.”

A fourth tweeted: “@piersmorgan I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Piers for PM . Get on with those brexit talks!! #GE2017 @bestmanforthejob.”

The UK woke up to a hung parliament this morning following the results of the General Election.

To win, a party must secure 326 of 650 seats – but neither party managed to get enough.

It was announced yesterday that Piers and co-host Susanna Reid would be hosting an extended show starting at 6:00am to 9:25am to show coverage of the results.

This means all the other talk shows, Lorraine, The Jeremy Kyle Show, This Morning and Loose Women, have been cancelled and will all return next week.

Meanwhile This Morning wrote to their 1.65 million followers: “That’s all for today! We’re not on air tomorrow because of @ITV’s election result programme but we’ll be back on Mon with a jam-packed show.”

Loose Women wrote a similar message saying: “We are NOT on this lunchtime as @itvnews will be bringing you all the latest developments from the general election #GE2017.”
