OMG! The presenters of Good Morning Britain have been savaged in a nasty shark attack!

Well, so the show’s Charlotte Hawkins has teased.

But don’t worry, folks, your breakfast favourites haven’t been too badly hurt.

The bloodthirsty attack is all part of a Hollywood fantasy, as they film for the fifth instalment of a camp movie franchise.

Yes, Charlotte, Kate Garraway and Laura Tobin have swapped presenting for acting in the latest Sharknado film!

If you haven’t seen the previous four instalments of this cult classic, Sharknado is the series of madcap comedy-horror flicks in which the world is deluged by killer sharks, starring Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering and Tara Reid.

Well, we did say it was a comedy.

And in this fourth sequel it looks like out morning gals are going to get it – big time!

“We have done some filming so far where the team came in and wanted our very best acting abilities so we do make an appearance in Sharknado 5,” Charlotte told The Sun.

“I don’t know how much we’re allowed to say, but there may be an appearance of a shark in the Good Morning Britain studio.

“It’s not good for us and it did test the limits of our acting abilities to be able to do this but it was amazing fun to be able to do it.”

But the GMB girls aren’t the only Brit stars taking part in the film.

Sharknado 5 is also set to feature Katie Price (above) in a cameo as well as diving supremo Tom Daley!

The series of films, which have picked up a cult status over the years, have previously starred the likes of Edward, who landed the part after they met Tara Reid in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

They also supplied a song – Oh Hell No – to the soundtrack of the film, which makes it a horror film of a totally different kind.
