Good Morning Britain guest Dr. Kang Lee claims babies are capable of being ‘racist’

His comments were pretty outrageous

| Updated:

Good Morning Britain viewers were left in shock today after a guest, Dr. Kang Lee, claimed babies as young as six-months-old can be “racist”.

The doctor revealed that he conducted a study on babies by showing them happy and sad music videos featuring babies of different races.

He told hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan that the children showed they were “racially bias” after the tots spent longer looking at babies which were the same race as them rather than those who weren’t.

The presenters were left baffled by Doctor Lee’s claims and fans of the show were outraged too.

Piers and Susanna were joined by two mums, from different backgrounds, alongside their super cute tots.

Piers asked: “How can kids as young as three-months-old have any kind of prejudice?”

To which the Doctor explained that is it because many children live in mono-racial families and therefore are not exposed to other races.

Of course viewers were stunned at the “bizarre” comments and shared their thoughts on Twitter.

One wrote: “Watching @GMB this morning made me laugh babies are not born racist its learn from their parents & those around them #GMB.”

Speaking to the doctor via video call Susanna asked: “Is it not that babies in mono-racial families are not familiar with other families, not that they are racially bias towards them?”

And viewers were quick to agree.

“Babies can be racists from six months old!! Literally have heard it all now, what a load of rubbish #GMB [sic],” another said.

A third raged: “#GMB NO. Babies do NOT have value judgements. They simply recognise people/things or need to learn things. Stupid!”

“Racist babies…now I’ve heard it all! #GMB,” a fourth added.

Meanwhile fans were thrilled to have Piers back in the Good Morning Britain hot seat after his four-day break last week.

One wrote on Twitter: “Great to have @susannareid100 and @piersmorgan back @GMB #gmb.”

But others weren’t so happy to welcome him back.

A fan ranted: “Why is @piersmorgan on my tv? He’s far too loud for any normal person in the mornings. #GMB.”
