Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates has gone on This Morning to discuss how he overcame his stammer.
The singer was joined by fellow guest Jennifer Vaughan, who also struggles with the speech impediment, as he revealed the daily struggle those with a stammer face.
Viewers of the show praised Gareth and Jennifer for speaking about the problems they endure.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Jennifer said that she believed she would never find love after struggling to say her own name.
But she revealed everything changed after she joined the McGuire programme which gave her the confidence to give a speech at her wedding.
The programme teaches breathing techniques and attempts to understand the psychological elements that come with a stammer.
Gareth praised the programme as he spoke about his personal experiences.
He said: “Having a stammer, it shapes and moulds the person you are. You can’t be the person that you want to be.
“I again found it really hard, especially as a kid. I didn’t know anybody else who had a stammer, so it was a very lonely place.
“It wasn’t until I came on the programme, and you meet people who share that same affection, that you start to think there is hope out there.”
Despite struggling in daily life, Gareth revealed he didn’t struggle with his stammer whilst on stage.
He even said he could lose the stammer when speaking in an American accent.
The Anyone Of Us singer explained to Holly and Phil that he put a lot of effort in to overcome his stammer.

But Jennifer said her stammer is something she has to deal with every day.
Fans of the show were quick to take to Twitter to praise the pair for talking so openly.

But this wasn’t the only thing that got viewers talking.
The star’s new looks were causing a mixed reaction from fans.
As he rose to fame, Gareth was well known for his short spikey hair-do.
But things have dramatically changed as he now sports a sweeping combover.

While others flooded the star with compliments.
