Ferne McCann is “still in touch with” prisoner ex Arthur Collins

The former TOWIE star has had things to discuss with the crim

Her boyfriend Arthur Collins may have humiliated her in front of the nation by carrying out hideous acts against the public, but that hasn’t stopped Ferne McCann from staying in touch with him.

According to reports, the pair are still talking, even though he is currently in prison awaiting trial and she is trying to come to terms with what has happened to her relationship and slowly getting used to being pregnant.

“Ferne has obviously ended her relationship with Arthur but she has been in contact with him since his arrest,” a friend told The Sun.

“They have spoken on the phone recently.

“The relationship is over but obviously they feel there are things to discuss.”

Ferne’s relationship exploded back in April when Arthur Collins allegedly hurled acid at people in an east London nightclub after an argument.

He has since been charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to cause GBH.

The incident happened the same day he and Ferne graced the cover of a weekly celebrity magazine in which they both spoke about their positive future.

In the interview Ferne also down-played Arthur’s bad boy image and said it had all been blown out of proportion.

Last week, the one-time TOWIE star appeared on This Morning, speaking for the first time since the incident happened and thanked the public for their support.

“They have been so amazing, so supportive, and that’s what’s got me through,” she told Holly and Phil.

“Reading through my private messages has been so touching, so humbling… sorry, I can’t.

“That’s what I’m so grateful for. From single mums and dads to people who have never even seen me on TV… I have to get this out. Everyone has been amazing.”

“It has been such a stressful, surreal situation to be in that. I’m actually feeling good and positive because I’m pregnant that has given me strength and hope to get through this,” she said.

Ferne also said that she is looking forward to giving birth and spoke about the excitement she felt when she went for her scan and heard her baby’s heartbeat for the first time.

“It was a massive relief,” she revealed. “Leading up to that point, you’re thinking I hope everything is OK with the baby. It’s just a magical moment – it’s mental, being pregnant.”

However, with all that’s happened in her life recently, she admits that she never thought having her first baby would be anything like this.

“This isn’t how I imagined my first pregnancy to be, but it’s not about me, it’s about this baby. My main concern and priority is the baby.”

Ferne managed to find a smile this week when she made her first public appearance at the Pride Of North East Awards in Newcastle where she met up with Vicky Pattison.
