Emmerdale star Fiona Wade aka Priya Kotecha has reportedly signed a new contract to stay with the soap for the foreseeable future.
With a major storyline coming up involving her affair with Pete Barton and a possible pregnancy (okay, so the test was negative, but in Soapland that means nothing), it looks like things are set to get even more dramatic for the single mum.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Fiona, who joined the soap in 2011, revealed how much she loves being on the show.
“Emmerdale is incredible right now and it’s a really exciting time to be in the show.
“I’ve just signed a new contract and couldn’t be happier. I’ve been so lucky and can’t believe it’s been almost six years since I first arrived in the village.
“It’s fantastic.”
After getting fed up with her husband Rakesh Kotecha and all his lies and dodgy dealings, Priya ended up falling into bed with Pete, who is going out with her best friend Leyla Harding.
Rakesh then went on the run and Priya has continued to make lusty eyes for her BFF’s bloke. And when she suspected she might be pregnant, she broke the news to her lover right before his engagement party with Leyla. Awkward.
Priya took the test in the pub toilets (because, where else would you do it?) and Leyla (of course) caught her. The test turned out to be negative, but could that be a mistake? Could Priya actually be preggers with Pete’s baby? If she’s sticking around in the Dales, we’d say there has to be more to this story than meets the eye.
Continuing to the publication, Fiona added: “I was quite surprised when they first told me about the storyline. And it has really divided opinion.
“Ultimately, it’s the worst thing a girl could do to her best friend and if Priya was my friend I’d be like ‘what are you doing?'”
With the affair now uncovered by Nell Fairfax, things are very complicated indeed for the factory boss and the farmer. Priya and Nell have never been the best of friends, so it remains to be seen if the reformed addict will keep the secret to herself.

As Leyla pushes ahead with her plans to marry Pete, we’re envisaging a showdown at the wedding between the bride and her bridesmaid over the groom. Bring it on!
Fortunately, things are a little less tricky in Fiona’s love life as she revealed: “I’m single at the moment.
“I’m happy and I’m dating and I’m out there.”
