Finn Barton unpopular in Emmerdale, plans to leave after Aaron Dingle’s imprisonment and stalking ex-boyfriend Kasim.

Can anyone persuade them to stay?

Finn Barton is not all that popular in Emmerdale village – or among the fans – at the moment, so it’s little wonder he decides the best thing he can do is up and leave.

With Aaron Dingle in prison following his assault on Finn’s ex-boyfriend Kasim, Finn’s fed up that everyone thinks he’s partly responsible for Aaron’s incarceration.

And that’s not even mentioning the fact that the youngest Barton brother has been taking tips from his crazy mother, Emma, in how to creep out your ex.

Finn became slightly obsessed with Kasim after the big car pile up last year that claimed James Barton’s life.

Devastated with grief over the loss of his father, Finn fixated on coma-patient Kasim and when he woke up, the two started dating.

But it soon became clear Finn’s behaviour wasn’t normal and, when he splashed out on a trip to Australia for him and Kasim to see Kylie in concert, it all got a bit too much too soon for his boyfriend who promptly broke it off.

But not willing to let it lie, Finn set about trying everything possible to win back his man – stalking him, trashing his room, and generally making his life difficult.

Emma then got involved and ended up framing Kasim for arson to protect Finn, and it all just got a bit too messy.

Brother Ross has decided it’s high time Finn moves on, but his attempts at setting him up with another fella end up being rather embarrassing – and that’s when Finn announces he’s leaving.

He packs his bags while his mum watches on, and insists he’s going to travel Australia – alone.

But the way he’s talking makes Emma panic his departure might be something more permanent than he’s making out.

As she tries to talk him out of it, he remains firm that he’s going and nothing is going to change his mind.

We all know Emma’s not the sanest of people and will go to drastic measures to keep her family around her. How far will she go this time to make sure Finn stays in the village?

Will he even get his holiday – or could she lock him up, like she did with James, to keep her boy by her side?
