Emmerdale plans MASSIVE stunt

Whose life is set to be on line this time?

Emmerdale is riding high on a wave of success at the moment, especially after their recent National Television Awards win, and it looks like they’re not going to rest on their laurels any time soon.

Producer Iain McLeod has revealed they’re planning another huge week of tragedy for some of our favourite characters.

The last time they had a stunt week, it was epic.

It was the most complicated series of events we’ve ever seen as a multi-car pile up was caused by mad Emma Barton pushing fiancé James off a bridge.

Aaron Dingle, Robert Sugden, Ashley Thomas, Paddy Kirk and Rhona Goskirk were all involved in the horror smash, but fortunately they all lived to tell the tale.

At a recent press event, Iain revealed to the Daily Star that he has big plans for another huge disaster.

“Looking to later in the year, one of the big things we’re currently working on is something that will be a bit like what we did last year with the big car crash where everything was all jumbled up and the storytelling was a bit crazy,” he said.

“This won’t be stunt driven but it will be equally as quirky and interesting and probably non-linear.”

With Emma still not punished following her role in last year’s crash, could this involve her finally getting her comeuppance?

Or will it involve other villagers?

Fans of a good Soapland stunt won’t have to wait too long to see the next one though, as Emmerdale are also planning something big next week.

Disgraced solicitor Rakesh Kotecha is set to be kidnapped by a mystery assailant and things are going to take a terrifying turn.

Talking to Digital Spy, Pasha Bocarie, who plays Rakesh, said:

“These scenes were very intense to film. I think fans are going to be surprised and shocked by them.

“There’s also a big stunt involved and I did part of that myself. It was one of the riskiest things I’ve ever done.”

Emmerdale’s certainly going all guns blazing at the minute – we can’t wait to see what happens next.
