Kerry Wyatt faces baby dilemma after revenge fling on Emmerdale

A night of passion has brought more than she bargained for

A night of passion will leave Kerry Wyatt with a baby-shaped dilemma on Emmerdale.

The problem she has is that after wanting to get one over on her partner Dan Spencer for his infidelity, she got a leg over Ross Barton.

Of course, if you are looking for a bit of rough to help take revenge on your other half, the village hunk is always a good bet.

The problem is, will he make good daddy material some nine months later?

Kerry had been trying to suppress her guilt about her revenge sex but it seems that she will soon have to tackle the issue, especially as she’s now pregnant.

Speaking about her character’s baby news, Laura Norton revealed: “She’s gutted. It makes her realise that she’s not going to get away with placing her head in the sand and lying to Dan.

“Kerry actually convinces herself that this is her punishment for the bad thing that she’s done, and that she deserves it.

“She massively regrets what happened.”

Kerry toys with whether she should come clean to Dan but instead turns to Joanie Wright for advice.

She explained to Inside Soap magazine: “Kerry is too ashamed to share it with anyone at first.

“She opens up to Joanie with great trepidation, as she thinks she’ll get told off! But Joanie’s reaction is the opposite – she wants to help Kerry find a solution.”

She quickly comes to the conclusion that the only way to save her relationship is by having an abortion.

Laura said: “Kerry is utterly convinced Ross must be the baby’s father, rather than Dan, so she feels as though she has no choice.

“It’s awful for her. This baby could be her last chance to be a proper parent. Having said that, Kerry finds it very easy to shut down her emotions.

“There’s this voice in her head saying, ‘I can’t be pregnant, I have to have a termination’ – there are no two ways about it.'”

Kerry will be further tormented though when she is told that she has to have a scan and, in the process, see the baby.

Can she go ahead with the termination after that?
