EastEnders taken off air for FOUR DAYS

The soap had better watch out, fans aren't happy - again

It’s becoming all too familiar a story recently – BBC bosses have once again AXED EastEnders.

This time though, the soap will be off air for four days after its Friday AND Monday night episodes have been cancelled.

A double bill on Thursday night saw Shirley Carter sent to prison for three months as she took the blame for Aunt Babe’s illegal activities.

We also discovered Ian Beale is at risk of type-2 diabetes, and saw Stacey Fowler attack Carmel Kazemi for calling her “mental”.

But fans will now have to wait until Tuesday to find out how these storylines progress.

And once again, it’s all because of sport.

In Friday’s usual 8pm slot there’s a Six Nations rugby match between Wales and Ireland instead.

And on Monday it’s football’s fault as Chelsea and Manchester United’s FA Cup quarter final clash will be screened on the Beeb in place of EastEnders.

Needless to say, fans aren’t happy about it.

Taking to Twitter @talesfromtania said: “I don’t know why they don’t put #EastEnders on #BBC2 while the sport is on, instead of making us wait!”

She’s got a point – we couldn’t agree more!

“What a joke” tweeted @shiv3000x

And @alanactor123 said: “No #EastEnders until Tuesday. How the hell am I going to cope?”

While @djchug added: “there will be no #EastEnders on Friday! This is like telling the public that the church is shut on Sunday”.

Some people might say watching ‘Enders is a religious experience!
