EastEnders star RETURNS to the show

Fans were wondering if they'd ever see her again

EastEnders are bringing back Cora Cross, who hasn’t been seen on the show since December 2015.

The sharp-tongued OAP was down on her luck the last we heard of her. She’d been living at the allotments following the death of her partner, Stan Carter, and then she was placed in sheltered housing.

Grandaughters Abi and Lauren Branning don’t seem to talk about her much and no one seems to know where she is.

But she’s been spotted back filming scenes for the soap after actress Ann Mitchell’s extended break.

It’s thought she might have something to do with Denise Fox’s upcoming job hunt after she sensationally quit the Minute Mart this week.

Denise has been seen filming scenes at the job centre, could she come across Cora also searching for work?

With Cora’s departure so abrupt and left up in the air, fans had been wondering whether they’d ever see her again and speculation on Twitter was rife.

With news of her possible return flying round, an EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy:

“We don’t comment on storyline speculation as we don’t want to spoil it for the viewers.”

But it hasn’t stopped fans expressing their delight at the rumoured news on social media.

With Cora’s nemesis Aunt Babe having departed, it’s surely time to bring the ultimate battleaxe back?

The Square needs her and her acid tongue!
