EastEnders SPOILER: Mick’s on the edge as he looks set to lose Vic

But who bears the brunt of his wrath?

| Updated:

Things are falling apart pretty quickly for EastEnders’ Mick Carter and he’s finally pushed to breaking point.

Usually so calm and composed, Mick doesn’t often get angry, but just how will he handle his temper as he faces his toughest challenge yet?

With Lee’s debts crippling the family, the last thing the Carter clan needs is more money worries. So when the roof of The Vic springs a leak, it’s not good news.

In fact, it’s the last thing Mick needs, but when he discovers their insurance doesn’t cover it, and is forced to call Linda and break the news, it’s clear he’s struggling.

With his beloved L away caring for her mum Elaine after her stroke at Christmas, Mick’s aware she doesn’t need any more stress. But he knows he’s got to be honest with his wife so tells her straight – they’re not covered for the damage.

Later on, the landlord counts the takings, hoping by some miracle they’ve had a stonking day and their cash crisis is solved.

No such luck. And a tense Mick panics over how he can drag his family off the bare bones of their backsides.

If we thought the family would pull together to make things better, we were wrong, because what Aunt Babe does next tears them apart.

When her actions become public knowledge, the repercussions are shocking and the full extent of what she’s done becomes clear.

Accusations are made and fingers are pointed as the family come under threat. But will they crumble and lose the pub?

Struggling with all this, not to mention the secret he’s keeping over his kiss with Whitney (that little old mistake!), Mick is close to the edge.

And it’s Abi Branning who bears the brunt of his temper when he lashes out at her in a rage.

Shirley’s stunned at her son’s behaviour and starts to worry about just how far he can be pushed before he does something truly stupid.

With reports that Mick could be leaving Walford, it’s looking more and more likely he’s going to lose The Vic.

We’re also concerned because isn’t that exactly what Max Branning and his dodgy business associate want? Surely Max hasn’t set this up and caused the roof to leak?

And is Abi in on her father’s plot? She is his daughter after all, could she be his mole on the inside, pulling all the strings to make the family fall apart?
