EastEnders fans turned off by latest episode

They weren't impressed with the storylines

| Updated:

EastEnders fans were left unhappy after last night’s outing of the show made them “umcomfortable”.

The Bex Fowler bullying saga is really upsetting some viewers – and Kush Kazemi and Denise Fox constantly kissing isn’t going down well either.

Poor Bex has been suffering at the hands of bullies Alexandra and Madison, and so-called best mate, Louise Mitchell, for weeks.

They’ve been tormenting her, got her in trouble by sending out a naked picture of Shakil to the whole school from Bex’s phone, and generally been making her life miserable.

Even as she tried to carry on as normal, starting up a relationship with Preston Cooper, she soon discovered her aunt, Michelle Fowler, was sleeping with him too. That only served to give the bullies more ammunition.

Last night, an accident in the cafe led to soup being spilled all over Madison. Bex was immediately apologetic, but she knew she was going to get it in the neck for the mistake.

Sure enough, the girls turned up at her house, and unsuspecting Stacey let them up to Bex’s room and left them alone.

Telling her she needed to know they wouldn’t forget what she’d done, Alexandra grabbed Bex’s prized guitar, while Madison held her back by her hair. Then Alexandra stamped on it, breaking it.

Bex was devastated and the episode ended with her in floods of tears as a guilty Louise watched on, knowing she should have done more to stop them.

Viewers found the scenes very hard to watch and expressed their feelings on Twitter.

But many were full of praise for the soap for tackling such a sensitive issue, and for actress Jasmine Armfield for how she’s portraying the part.

Fortunately, Sonia Fowler, Bex’s mum, is set to return next week to sort things out. But whether she manages it, remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, across the Square, two people who weren’t struggling to be happy were Kush and Denise. They’ve spent the week indulging in huge PDAs and fans aren’t impressed.

It makes a change for a couple to actually be happy in Walford though, surely?!
