EastEnders fans spot problem with Denise plot

They're not impressed with her behaviour

EastEnders Denise Fox has been struggling to make ends meet after quitting her job at the Minute Mart.

But now viewers have pointed out an easy way for her to raise some cash.

She’s so broke that she’s been lying to her boyfriend, Kush Kazemi, about having to study to get out of going to the pub with him and spending money.

Thursday’s episode saw her rummaging in the bins outside her old place of work for out-of-date sandwiches that had been chucked.

She even contemplated eating two chips Jack Branning had dropped on the floor.

Things have got so bad, she’s been avoiding everyone and Kush put his foot down in Friday’s episode, insisting he was going to cook her a meal. He told her all she had to do was provide the wine.

As she tried to get back the tenner she’d lent her sister, Kim Fox-Hubbard, last year, Denise really was desperate.

She didn’t manage to get any wine, lying to Kush she didn’t want to risk the hangover as she had to study for her GCSE. Kush looked about as fed up hearing about that as we are.

As he presented her with a plate of fish, she wolfed it down in record time. But Kush knew something wasn’t right as he quizzed her about backing out of their holiday.

She eventually ended up breaking up with him, telling him they were too different, leaving him, and herself, devastated.

But viewers don’t really have much sympathy for Denise as they all think there’s a really simple solution to her problems: sell her jewellery.

Others just thought Denise should “spit it out” and tell Kush the truth.

Her pride is so far stopping her doing that, but just how hungry and desperate will she have to get before she swallows it and asks for help?

If not Kush, what about Kim? Dee’s sister’s living in a big house, flashing the cash, she could definitely afford to help Denise out a bit.

If only she can find a way to ask for help, that is.
