Corrie SPOILER: Leanne in meltdown as Simon goes MISSING

Will it send her into labour?

The last thing Corrie’s heavily pregnant Leanne Battersby needs is for her son to disappear, but when Simon doesn’t come home from a party she’s frantic. Will it harm her unborn baby?

Leanne’s pregnancy hasn’t been without drama anyway. She’s carrying Steve McDonald’s child, but she and Nick are pretending it’s his.

With Steve’s wife Michelle having lost her own baby, Leanne’s been feeling increasingly guilty about the whole situation. She’s already suffered headaches and stomach pains, so could even more trouble send her into labour?

It all kicks off when Leanne refuses to talk to her sisters, Toyah and Eva, over their betrayal with Peter. Simon goes to see his aunts and advises them to stop texting Leanne so much and give her some space.

They go along with it, but when Toyah finds out she isn’t invited to Leanne and Nick’s wedding, she’s distraught and decides she needs to put things right.

She has a word in Nick’s ear and asks him to allow Peter to spend more time with Simon. Nick reluctantly agrees and sends Si to his dad’s that very night.

But sneaky Simon soon reveals to Peter that he’s missing out on a party at the Trafford Centre, and desperate to please his son, Peter drops him off at the bash.

Things go horribly wrong when the teen doesn’t return. With neither Peter nor Nick able to get hold of the lad, it’s time to tell Leanne what’s happened.

A Corrie insider told The Daily Star: “Leanne really lays into both Peter and Toyah. It really is the last thing she needs right now.

“She’s heavily pregnant and still coming to terms with her sister’s betrayal. The fact Peter thought it was okay to let Simon go off to a party on his own leaves her fuming.”

Apparently, when Toyah tries to stick up for Peter, Leanne makes a sly dig about her not being a mother. Uh oh, it’s not looking good for the sisters to make amends.

And what about Simon?

Has he done this on purpose – has he actually run away? Or has something more sinister happened?
