Michelle Connor’s turmoil on Corrie: Divorce demand and Robert’s return

More drama to follow Friday's explosive catfight between Michelle and Leanne

It’s been a tough time for Corrie’s Michelle Connor of late

Not only has she had to deal with losing her baby son, she’s also just found out that her other half Steve fathered Leanne’s baby.

But it looks like life is set to get even more complicated for her as she begins to grow close to Robert Preston again.

In Monday’s episode, viewers will see Michelle barricade herself into the Rovers and demand a divorce and half of Steve’s assets.

But as time moves on, Michelle will find herself once again grow close to the hunky Robert. The lucky lass.

Michelle, who kissed Robert in the depths of her fresh grief, knows that the relationship with Robert hurt Steve.

Could she consider getting up to no good with him to get her own back? Or are her feeling for Robert stronger than she wants them to be?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

This latest storyline twist follows the explosive episode on Friday in which Corrie fans saw Michelle walk out on her hubby after he publicly announced he was the father of baby Oliver.

After the revelation, Michelle – played brilliantly by Kym Marsh –  squared up to Leanne (Jane Danson).

“What kind of a woman are you?” she seethed at her. “We celebrated our pregnancies together. Seeing you pregnant made me want to have another baby and you tried to talk me out of it.

“And then two days ago you handed me my husband’s baby when my baby had died. Why mine? Why Ruairi? Why could your baby not have died?”

Michelle’s devastation continued with her becoming convinced that Steve didn’t care that his baby had died because he “had a spare with Oliver”.

But when Leanne tried to convince Michelle that Steve still loved her, Michelle wasn’t having any of it.

“Do you know what we were talking about this morning? We were talking about trying again for a baby. I talked myself out of it because I still love my Ruairi and it kills me every day that he’s not here.

“That pain is the only thing that I have left of him.”

And then – wham! – Michelle took a swing and smacked Leanne across the puss sending her reeling across the Bistro kitchen.

Later, Steve begged Michelle to forgive him, pleading: “I did a stupid thing but you were gone, I didn’t know she was going to get pregnant.”

But Michelle couldn’t find in her to forgive him and tells everyone in the Rovers about Steve’s other son and then runs into the street and collapses in tears.

Ooooh. Can’t wait for this week’s episodes.
