Coronation Street Spoiler: The police close in on Ken’s attacker

The police think they've got their man (or woman, or child) this time. But are they right?

Coronation Street has been gripped by the mystery of Who Pushed Ken Barlow, since his crumpled – but not dead – body was found at the bottom of No.1’s stairs last month.

Since then, everyone and their dog has been accused of giving the Corrie legend the not-quite-fatal shove down the stairs.

Current favourite is Amy Barlow, who has been ranting to Tracy about how much she hates her granddad since he refused to lend them the cash to buy the florists.

In fact, even Tracy is sure her daughter is hiding something. She’s so sure, she’s whisked her off to the Peak District to begin a life on the run with her and Rob. Which is obviously ever 13 year old’s dream.

So far, DS McKinnon and her team haven’t managed to do an awful lot, apart from arrest the wrong people, but now it seems they’ve got Ken’s assailant in their sights.

Amy’s been bored out of her brain on her holiday/fugitive escape and eventually calls dad Steve McDonald to come and get her.

But it’s not just Steve who rushes up to the Peaks – the police are on their way up there too as they’re convinced they know who tried to kill off Ken.

Have they got it right this time?

And who are they going to slap the cuffs on? Tracy, Amy, Rob or – outside bet – Steve himself?

Our theory is it was Deirdre Barlow’s ghost who came to punish Ken for saying he ‘wasted his life’ with her.

We’d also put money on Simon Barlow, who has form for being a violent little toe-rag.

Actually, has anyone checked where Si was that night? HMM?
