Steve McDonald’s baby secret in Corrie is a ticking time bomb.
And it looks set to explode with devastating consequences.
Metro newspaper has reported that Kym Marsh – who plays his pregnant wife Michelle – has been seen filming desperately emotional scenes, in which she appears to be contemplating suicide on a bridge.
The location shoot was with co-star Tristan Gemmill – bistro chef Robert Preston – who seems to come to Michelle’s rescue, as she steps away from the edge of the bridge and breaks down in his arms.
Exactly what pushes Michelle to the apparent brink is unclear, but fans are naturally speculating that she will discover that Steve is the secret father of Leanne’s baby.
Betrayed by her husband and her friend… is this enough to make the barmaid suicidal?

Or could this moment with her knight in shining armour spark romance between the pair?
Robert has very obviously – to viewers, at least – developed feelings for Michelle.
Oh, Gawd. We are so conflicted. Much as we know Steve and Michelle belong together, we can’t help feeling a little romance with Robert would be fun – for everyone.
Last month, The Sun revealed that that a heavily pregnant Michelle will collapse at Christmas – with Robert by her side.
All, however, is not as it immediately seems.

The pair are delivering pizzas but two dodgy customers refuse to pay up.
They get a shock when Michelle drops to the floor, apparently in agony.
But she’s just pretending to be poorly in an attempt to get them to pay up.
