Casualty SPOILER: Major character killed off VERY soon!

Tissues at the ready as a fan-fave bids farewell

| Updated:

Following their National Television Awards win for Best Drama Casualty aren’t resting on their laurels as they’re getting ready to kill off a major character VERY soon.

The cast have been spotted filming a funeral for a show regular, but are remaining tight-lipped over who it is.

Security personnel at the shoot were sworn to secrecy over the deceased’s identity, but a fan claims to have seen a name spelt out in flowers in the hearse.

Being a good sport though, the viewer hasn’t revealed the name they saw so they don’t spoil it for everyone else.

How very well-behaved of them!

Speaking to Digital Spy a Casualty source said:

“It looks like one of our favourite heroes could be about to meet their maker, but Casualty are keeping this shocking storyline close to their chests.”

We wonder who it could be? There are no confirmed cast exits coming up, so it looks like this will be a complete surprise.

Viewers were moved to tears last weekend when Charlie Fairhead finally wed his 30-year love, Duffy. As they happily start their new life together, we hope nothing befalls either of them.

In an interview with Digital Spy, show producer Erika Hossington recently gave a hint of what’s to come when she revealed:

“We have a stunt coming up in April where someone gets run over. This will be very shocking because of who it is, but I can’t say anything more.”

Could the accident lead to this hero to lose their life?

She continued: “We have got something else following on from that which is also very shocking as well.

“We will have two episodes on the trot which will both involve two of our regular characters.”

Other spoilers that have recently been revealed are that Pam St Clement is coming back.

The former EastEnder had a guest role in the 30th anniversary episode and will be back in March. Erika admitted she will “literally cause an explosion” – could that have something to do with the shock death?

It sounds like March and April are going to be MASSIVE months for the drama then, but who will make it to May?
