She was never known for mincing her words when she was a Loose Women panellist and now Carol McGiffin has turned her tongue to EastEnders.
Writing in her Best magazine column, she blasted the soap for its “lame plotlines” and “boring characters”.
Having been a fan of the soap previously, Carol admitted she’d continued to watch in the hope it would get better.
But, like many viewers, she’s just had enough.

“I’ve finally lost it with EastEnders. I’ve clung on hoping it would return to greatness, but it’s getting worse.
“It’s not only the ridiculous preaching that drives me nuts. It’s the boring characters and lame plotlines.”
She certainly didn’t hold back, did she?!
One particular storyline she picked out was the reunion between the returning Michelle Fowler and her American toyboy lover, Preston.
“It was the pointless ‘doof doofs’ that tipped me over the edge, like the reunion between dullard Michelle and her schoolboy lover.
“I’ve seen better acting in an episode of Clangers, so for now, I’m out.”
Despite the fact the show regularly pulls in around seven million viewers, fans have recently expressed their disappointment with the current storylines.

The dramatic bus crash that had us glued to our screens ended up killing off no regular characters, leaving fans frustrated.
