Britain’s Got Talent drama as Ant and Dec save collapsed contestant

Even Simon Cowell rushed on stage to help

There was drama at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions which led to Ant and Dec rushing to help a stricken contestant.

In the chaos, even Simon Cowell rushed on stage to help Luke, who had collapsed.

There was no hint at what was to come when Luke started singing a Frank Sinatra cover alongside his mum.

The singer, who is in his twenties, then suddenly collapsed on the stage.

The judges and presenters were left in shock before they rushed to his aid.

Ant and Dec, along with Simon, helped him before paramedics arrived.

A member of the audience told The Sun: “His granddad died that day and combined with the stress of auditions, it really got to him.

“It was incredibly scary. Luke was singing with his mum and suddenly he just fell.

”All of the judges jumped to their feet, and Simon rushed on stage.

“Luke’s mum was cradling him in her arms.

“They were the last act of the night and Simon thanked the audience for being compassionate.”

Britain’s Got Talent officials said that Luke had fainted.

The good news is that he’s now been given the all-clear.

What is not clear though, is whether Luke and his mother managed to make it through to the next round.
