Breaking Babe! Easties baddie to finally get her comeuppance

The end is nigh for the evil aunt

| Updated:

The EastEnders exodus is about to begin.

There have been so many cast members quitting or being axed over the past couple of weeks, it could be that Ian Beale may be the only one kicking about in Albert Square at Christmas.

There will be a slew of on-screen departures from Walford and it looks like evil Aunt Babe is first in the queue.

The question is, will she be written out for good or will the door be left ajar for a return?

Annette Badland has played the evil aunt since 2013 and has run up a list of people that would like to see the back of her.

Kellie Bright’s Linda Carter has rumbled that Babe has been blackmailing the Cokers and has been menacing them for monies.

The character has now been warned by Kellie Bright’s Linda Carter to return the Coker’s money.

She has warned that Babe’s days will be over if she doesn’t.

Time is running out for Babe after Linda gives her an ultimatum but, as is the want in soaps, circumstances conspire against Babe as she looks to do the right thing.

The end is nigh for Babe and it looks like this will be her swan song in EastEnders.

The question is, will we see her again? Soap bosses haven’t confirmed whether Babe will be gone for good.

Two characters that will meet their makers are Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell and this has reportedly upset the cast.

Initial thoughts were that when Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell walk away from Walford, the story will be left open for them to return.

The cast are unhappy that Rita Simons and Samantha Womack will not get a chance to return in the future.

The Sun has reported that the pair will depart for good in an explosive New Years Eve special.

Apparently, the reason why this has caused so much angst among the cast, was because it was a surprise.

The fact that they hadn’t been consulted has angered many and some are allegedly shocked by the decision.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Everyone’s in shock. The cast are really upset as it’s come out of the blue.”

This seems to be the latest round of cuts by new producer Sean O’Connor, that has seen over a dozen characters written out of the BBC soap.

The source continued: “People are worried who’s going to be next.

“The script for Roxy and Ronnie’s deaths has been written, but none of the actors know what’s going to happen.”

An EastEnders spokesman hit back at the claims.

They said: “We know how much our audience hate to have any future storylines spoilt so we will not comment on speculative stories.

“At no point have we received any concerns from cast about any of our future storylines.”
