The happy couple, who welcomed twins into their lives earlier this year, were attending the Chelsea Flower Show in London yesterday where eagle-eyed flower fanciers noticed Hannah sporting a sparkler on her finger.

The new mum was wearing a silver and diamond band behind her square-cut diamond engagement ring.

It was so bright and sparkly that it caught the sun and drew everyone’s eyes to it.

Speaking recently, the Strictly funnyman said that he was head-over-heels smitten with his gorgeous girlfriend.

“She’s just perfect,” he gushed. “I love her above all things. Will we marry? Maybe next year. We’re very happy.”

He added that for many years, dancing had been the thing he had been ‘married’ to before he’d met Hannah in 2010.

“Performing,” he explained. “was the ‘woman’ in my life, if you like. But then Hannah came along.

“She’s just perfect. She’s very beautiful, clever, but also really kind.”

On 30 March, 50-year-old Anton announced that he was a father when he posted an image of a black top hat and cane with two pairs of dancing shoes on Instagram, with the caption: “Oh my! The little dancing feet have arrived. Mum and twins are perfect and dad is ridiculously excited!”

Speaking to Phillip and Holly on This Morning, Anton explained why he had decided to wait until so late to become a parent.

“Whether I was going to have children or not wasn’t a definite decision I’d made.

“But I wanted to have children with someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and Hannah is wonderful and perfect, so this makes perfect sense.”

Anton had been in the running for the head judge on Strictly Come Dancing and had had a screen test for the role.

In the end the coveted position went to Shirley Ballas.
