The Voice fans puzzled by Emma Willis’s hair during live final

Well, it was different!

All eyes were on the four finalists last night as the latest series of The Voice reached its climax.

Well, we say ‘all’ eyes… in actual fact, a fair few viewers were more interested in presenter Emma Willis – or, more specifically, what was going on with her hair.

In keeping with the glamour of the occasion, the 42-year-old wore a stunning Galvan London satin gown, costing £895. And she complemented the outfit with a brand-new hairdo.

However, some fans of the show were left baffled by the barnet, and took to social media to make their feelings known.

To preside over the final – which was won by Ruti Olajugbagbe – Emma sported a trendy short-back-and-sides look that was accentuated by an unusual sticky-outy bit at the back.

And the look left some viewers scratching their own heads.

One tweeted: “Just catching up with The Voice… what is going on with the back of @EmmaWillis’s hair??”

Another scoffed: “Sorry, a very bad hair day. Kept thinking you’d come back after the break with it sorted. You always look amazing but the hair let you down.”

And a third chipped in: “Thrilled that Ruti won The Voice last night, just love her! But what was with Emma Willis’s hair?! It looked like a scene from There’s Something About Mary!!!”

But not everyone was offended, and plenty of fans complimented Emma’s appearance without mentioning her hair.

Earlier this week, Emma announced that she’ll be ditching her job as a TV presenter to try her hand at midwifery (don’t worry, it’ll only be temporary!).

The mum-of-three – who’s married to Busted star Matt Willis – will be seen working in a maternity ward as part of a new six-part documentary, Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.

And she told her fans on Twitter that it’s something she’s always wanted to do.

She wrote: “I’ve been so excited to announce this, [as] experiencing what it’s like to be a midwife is a dream come true.”

Last week, Emma guest-presented This Morning alongside Rylan Clark-Neal, and she confessed that she still goes all gooey whenever she sees a tot.

She told her co-star: “I see a baby and I just get all broody again.”
