Strictly’s Danny John-Jules ‘sparks second feud’ with partner Amy Dowden

It's just a day until the finale

| Updated:

Strictly’s Danny John-Jules has reportedly sparked a second feud with his dance partner Amy Dowden.

The actor apparently fell out with Amy just days before he was voted out of the competition following claims he bullied Amy.

Last month, Danny denied suggestions he made Amy, 27, cry by shouting and swearing at her during rehearsals, claiming that the rumours were part of a “vendetta” and accusing the BBC of bullying him.

But now, it’s been reported that the Red Dwarf star is “furious” with Amy once again, blaming her for turning the other stars against him.

A source told The Sun: “Danny has been vocal to members of the production team that Amy has really ‘turned him over’ – and he blames her for them not being booked on the Strictly Tour in January.

“Danny has been really angry. He turned up and was ignored practically by everyone and was furious with Amy.

“To say the atmosphere is tense between them is an understatement, they don’t talk, they don’t look at each other and when they aren’t being forced to dance together they are on separate sides of the room.”

The insider added that Danny had been “quite vocal” to some of the other male celebrities including Lee Ryan and Graeme Swann, and he believes Amy has “deliberately tried to damage his reputation”.

ED! has contacted representatives for Danny for comment.

It comes after it was claimed Danny had made Amy “cry constantly” during their time on the show.

At the time, a source told The Sun: “He gets very angry in the training room and he swears and shouts at her a lot.”

Appearing on Strictly: It Takes Two after the reports emerged, Amy said: “Things did get a little bit intense the other day in rehearsal, but you know what, we took a half-hour break and then got straight to it.

“I never felt bullied or threatened by Danny, I really want to get this man to Blackpool, and then to the final.”

Danny, 58, added: “All I can tell you is that the only reason I’m here, this far, is because of Amy, and I’d never bite the hand that feeds me.”

It was later claimed that Danny had been dropped from nationwide Strictly tour, which kicks off in Birmingham on January 18.

A spokesman for Strictly said the show was not responsible for the tour line-up, while Danny’s representatives also confirmed the actor would not be making an appearance.

Danny is not the only contestant to be dropped from the list; comic Seann Walsh, 32, was also reportedly barred after he was caught snogging his married dance partner Katya.
