Strictly Come Dancing's Seann Walsh insists he's not the person he's been portrayed to be following his split from Rebecca Humphries.
The 32-year-old comedian's relationship ended after Seann was pictured kissing his married Strictly partner Katya Jones during a recent night out in London.
Seann and Katya broke their silence on the incident during a subdued appearance on Strictly's spinoff show, It Takes Two, on Wednesday night.
Host Zoe Ball introduced them by saying: "Now, on It Takes Two we like to talk about the dancing but that's been somewhat overshadowed by events this week. You've both apologised for your behaviour, is there anything else you'd like to say?"
Seann said: "I think that, obviously I'm sorry for the hurt that I've caused. We were getting on well, we were having fun. We had a couple of drinks and we made a huge mistake and I regret it deeply."
I am not the person I'm being portrayed as. I'm still sorry for what I did, but it's very important for me to get that out there.
Rebecca recently confirmed their split in a lengthy statement posted on social media, in which she claimed Seann called her a "psycho" after she speculated his behaviour was suspicious.
Seann has apologised for hurting Rebecca, but he has also defended his own reputation, insisting he's been portrayed unfairly over recent days.
Seann said: "I would rather not have to address this publicly but I feel I have to. I made a mistake, which I'm very sorry for, I'm sorry for the hurt that I've caused.
"You never think about the extent of the damage that you're going to do, in a moment of, you know the mistake that you've made. I'm not perfect, far from it. Our relationship wasn't perfect. That doesn't mean I wanted it to end the way it finally did, and I'm very sorry for that.
"I feel it's also important for me to say that the people that know me the most, that love me, they know that I am not the person I'm being portrayed as. I'm still sorry for what I did, but it's very important for me to get that out there."
Meanwhile, Katya, 29 - who has been married to fellow dancer Neil Jones since 2013 - said she apologised for the kiss, but also insisted her relationship is "absolutely fine".
She said: "Obviously I apologise, and I can't apologise enough to everyone who it hurt and involved. But, the main thing for me is that me and Neil are absolutely fine and that's what matters to me the most right now and focusing on my job and doing it as professionally I can."
There had been calls for Seann and Katya to quit Strictly but the BBC confirmed earlier this week they will dance as planned on Saturday.
They will perform a Charleston.
Katya said: "We're working really hard and still looking forward to Saturday and doing that Charleston as best we can, really."
Seann apologised on Twitter after the photos surfaced, writing: "In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions.

"This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for."
Katya said it was not a reflection of her marriage to fellow Strictly pro Neil in an apology posted to her own Twitter account.
"I'm so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions,” she tweeted. "I wasn't thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship."
