There’s always a gaggle of VIPs in the studio audience of Strictly Come Dancing – this series alone we’ve had Jodie Comer, Nicole Scherzinger and, er, Keith Lemon.

But there’s royalty in the house this weekend.

As Saturday night’s episode began, the camera panned across the crowd to reveal the Countess of Wessex, wife of Prince Edward.

She was accompanied by an excited-looking girl… daughter Lady Louise.

Sophie has been married to the Queen’s youngest child, son Edward, 54, since 1999.

They have two children Lady Louise Windsor, 16, and James, Viscount Severn, 10.

The Countess and Lady Louise will get to see the remaining seven couples perform their individual routines.

The celebs and their partners are also competing in the show’s first ever Lindy-hop-athon.

Who do you think will get the boot this weekend?
