Coronation Street SPOILER: Abi loses everything as Tracy confesses

Abi hits rock bottom

Abi Franklin feels she has nothing left and relapses next week. And even after Tracy confesses everything, things continue to get worse for the reformed addict.

Working on the switch at Streetcars is proving too much for Abi who can’t get to grips with the computer system and takes her frustration out on customers.

Work isn’t the only thing on her mind though as she confides in Seb the twins’ foster parents are taking them to Lapland for Christmas.

Despairing Abi thinks the kids are better off without her and cancels her visit with them, before spying on them playing at their foster parents’ and downing vodka.

Having fallen off the wagon spectacularly, Abi starts to feel ill and calls Tracy for help. Trace is stunned by the desperate message and tracks her mate down to Victoria Street where she finds Abi unconscious.

Tracy phones an ambulance, consumed with guilt that she’s caused this.

Seb’s beside himself and confides in Tracy Abi feels she’s lost everything since she was accused of sabotaging Michelle’s car.

Of course, we all know it was Tracy that did it and she’s been covering it up and letting Abi take the blame.

But for once, the burden of guilt is too much for Trace, who can’t take it any more and visits Abi in hospital to confess what she did. Despite Tracy displaying a conscience for the first time ever, Abi doesn’t forgive and throws her out.

When Seb finds out what Tracy did and hears his mum say she’s putting the twins up for adoption, he sees red and trashes the florist.

Abi hears the commotion and stops him, but Ken catches her in there and assumes she’s caused the damage.

Wanting to protect at least one of her children, Abi takes some money from the till to seal her fate, not putting up a fight as the police arrive and arrest her for criminal damage and theft.

Tracy is determined to make things right so refuses to press charges. But it seems the matter has been taken out of her hands and Abi is given a court date.

Seb lays into Tracy, making her feel even worse, but there’s not much she can do now.

Abi faces her day in court and is sent down for 16 weeks. She’s lost everything, but a familiar face in the prison soon eases her woes.

Meanwhile, Seb has made a massive decision – he’s going to adopt the twins himself.

The social worker reveals he’ll have to cut Abi out of his life for good, and after some reflection, Seb realises he has to do it as that’s what best for his siblings.
