King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp has revealed he lost over a stone in weight during his time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here after not eating for four days.
The 71-year-old fussy eater revealed the reason behind his dramatic weight loss was his partly his refusal to eat the exotic meats on offer. He revealed on Good Morning Britain: “I’ve never seen a minute of the show. I thought they would call, ‘OK, cut!’ and we’d go behind there and have a bacon sandwich. I couldn’t find the caravan anywhere!”
He continued: “I had four days without eating. I lost a stone It wasn’t easy, it was hard. It was tough physically.”

The football manager also confessed that he struggled to sleep in camp, saying: “Some of the days were very long and hard. Sleeping was horrendous.”
Harry wasn’t the only celeb who lost weight on jungle rations. Anne Hegerty has revealed she also lost a stone, with insiders saying the whole camp had lost around four stone between them. An insider told The Sun: “They’ve noticed weight falling off. We believe between them they have lost around four stone.”

Harry, seemed bewildered that he’d managed to beat Emily Atack and John Barrowman to win I’m A Celeb. Telling Piers Morgan: “I don’t know what I’ve done except make an idiot of myself.
“It’s not like winning a football match or something. It was a completely new world for me.”
The former West Ham manager saved all his praise for wife Sandra, 71, who he had missed desperately while taking part in the show. He confessed: “She’s my life. We’re 54 years. Only 17 when we started going out and we’ve never been apart. I don’t care what people think I love her like mad.”
“Jamie always days to me, ‘Dad, how did you pull her? You punched so far above your weight it’s scary’ and he’s not wrong.”

The King of the Jungle also insisted Sandra didn’t need to worry about his new “sex-symbol” status saying that anyone who believes that “needs to go to Specsavers.”
But he did joke that campmate Emily now stands a chance with his son Jamie Redknapp since her post jungle makeover. He laughed: “I’ll be honest when I saw her in the jungle I thought, ‘no chance’. But when I seen her today all scrubbed up I thought she was very beautiful.
“I went, ‘Who are you?’ and she said ‘I was in the jungle with you!” And I said, ‘I don’t even recognise you!’”
