Holly Willoughby lets slip secrets of first I’m A Celebrity trial

Did Hols reveal more than she intended?

Holly Willoughby delighted This Morning fans as she made a special appearance on the show from the set of I’m A Celebrity in Australia.

The presenter, 37, fresh-faced and bubbly as she checked in with her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield and stand-in Rochelle Humes, told viewers she was having an “amazing” time in the jungle, despite being hesitant with creepy crawlies.

“I’m settling into my new home,” she said against a background of rainforest canopy.

“It’s amazing here! It’s so beautiful. For somebody that’s not that brilliant with nature, I’m sort of fitting in okay.”

Hols, who added she is constantly checking toilet seats for lurking spiders, had to bat away flying bugs during her grainy video message – but she is getting used to being bothered by pests.

She continued: “Something’s just landed on my arm, eek! There are things that land on you everywhere.

“They have flies that bite. Everything bites. Everything wants to eat you.”

The mum-of-three, whose family have gone to Oz with her for the duration of the series, later added as she swatted a creature that distracted her: “See how relaxed I am with that now?”

However, during her seemingly unscripted piece to camera – possibly recorded on her phone – Holly perhaps revealed a little too much about what she’s been getting up to when not terrorised by insects.

“We’ve done a few rehearsal bits, and I’ve done a Bushtucker trial,” she said with excitement.

“Well, I haven’t done it – but I’ve watched one so I’ve seen crocodiles and stuff.”

If crocodiles are indeed involved in the celebs’ first test after they reach the jungle camp, the likes of Harry Redknapp, Rita Simons and Noel Edmonds had better, well, snap to it.

It seem unlikely that croc will be on the menu at that early stage, however – particularly if the challenge is taken up by any of the vegans in the I’m A Celebrity line up.

Hols also promised to keep This Morning fans updated with her goings on in Oz. So until then, in a while crocodile!

The 18th series of I’m A Celebrity, hosted by Dec Donnelly and Holly, begins this Sunday at 9pm.

Doctor Who star John Barrowman, The Chase’s Anne Hegerty, DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles and X Factor singer Fleur East have all been confirmed for the ITV reality show down under alongside Harry, Rita and Noel.

They will also be joined in the camp by Corrie star Sair Khan, pop rocker James McVey, Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer and The Inbetweeners’ Emily Atack.
