First I’m A Celebrity trailer revealed ahead of Holly Willoughby’s jungle debut

But who will be joining her on-screen as camp mates Down Under?

The first trailer for the 2018 series of I’m A Celebrity has been unveiled – but there’s no sign of new host Holly Willoughby to be seen.

Instead, the teaser clip follows a young Aussie girl and her father as they hike through the rainforest Down Under and she quizzes him over the legends of the jungle.

Discovering a Bush Tucker Trial star as they follow the trail, she is told by her dad the myths she’s heard – as if the reality series were a fable – are all true.

The shocked youngster then goes on to ask a series of questions about the tales she’s heard, questioning her dad over and over to determine whether the legend of I’m A Celebrity is indeed true.

She is told all her inquiries about whether people are buried in creepy-crawlies, eat the genitals of kangaroos, are showered in spiders and receive a face full of fish guts are correct as the pair wander through a series of tropical locations.

Their quest – and the the 40 second preview – comes to an end as they reach the recognisable bridge which connects the camp to the jungle studio where departing camp mates usually meet up with presenters Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin.

However, Ant will be absent for this run after he stepped down from his TV commitments to focus on his personal issues.

The 42-year-old did co-present last year’s series alongside Dec following a stint in rehab.

But Dec was forced to go solo for several episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway earlier this year after Ant’s involvement in a drink-drive crash.

“Get outta here!” the amazed child coos, punning on the show’s title as the bridge slides into view and the clip draws to a close.

However, the trailer did not confirm when the eighteenth series of the ITV smash hit is due to begin.

The Chase star Anne Hegerty, football manager Harry Redknapp and Alya Nazir soap actress Sair Khan have all been tipped to be heading for the jungle for the upcoming series.

Ex Corrie favourite Shayne Ward and Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway have also been linked with a spot on the show.
