The Chase’s Jenny Ryan has admitted that she’s "relieved" her co-star Anne Hegerty has been voted out of the I’m Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle.

Jenny wasn't the only The Chase star who praised Anne - who has Asperger's - after she was voted out.

Mark Labbett - who is known as 'The Beast' on the game show - admitted he was "gutted" that Anne was out.

He wrote: "Gutted! :( #teamanne #

Meanwhile, Paul Sinha - who is known as 'The Sinnerman - tweeted: "Anne is meant to be my partner at the British Pairs championships in January. Hope she can find the time. Well done Anne.

"I'm not remotely envious, but I am immensely proud."

The 60-year-old quiz expert admitted she struggled adapting to jungle life.

Talking to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes on This Morning following her exit, she confessed: "I was technically expecting everything that happened, but I hadn’t really properly imagined it to myself and when we went into Snake Rock I just got more and more depressed.

"I thought, ‘Oh no, no, no, no what was I thinking. I can’t possibly handle this.’

"Not just the hunger, just the sheer discomfort and how difficult and hard everything was… how hard it was just to keep yourself clean. And I was kind of in shock for several days."

Anne insisted it was thanks to her campmates first at Snake Rock and then Croc Creek, which helped her to keep going.

She revealed: "When I got into the main camp, everyone was just so lovely.

"John Barrowman came running up with his arms open, and Nick [Knowles] gave me a hug and then his pillow – which I’d been sleeping on ever since and it’s filthy with wood smoke and everything."
